Mathew Frederick began his career with the Bank of Montreal as a Computer Systems Analysis then a small business development specialist with IBM. Later Mathew began a decade of teaching business at post secondary school level. He began investing in residential real estate where he learned the “hard way”, “up through the ranks”, how to buy-fix-sell, lease option and rent income property. Over the past 17 years, he has taken the lead in renovated over 50 properties and managed a multimillion dollar real estate portfolio. He has spoken to thousands of Canadians as a facilitator, Author and TV personality. Mathew focuses on acquisition, improvement, management, and development of solid, profitable real-estate investments. His passion is finding great investment areas through rigorous research, and immersing himself in that market to understand its dynamic nature. Bill Kanopoulos has worked in the financial services industry for over 15 years. During his career, he focused on building wealth through tax planning, and by deploying rational investment strategies. Building wealth involves working hard to keep every dollar and making these dollars work for you. Having said this, many investors leave tax planning to the tax specialist and only deal with issues "after the fact". Tax planning needs to exist, in some level, with every investment decision one makes. Similarly, these decisions need to be aggregated into an overall strategy on an ongoing basis.
Bill will share his knowledge about the tax advanatages of investing in US real estate. He will give us practical information about using Limited Partnership structure in a Florida Multi Unit Residential Community.
